My Favourite Healing Beauty Products

Being me, there’s always issues with either my skin, my hair or my nails so I thought I’d share my favourite products that I consider to ‘heal’ my impurities.

Some of these products I have been using for a while and some are relatively new.

Garnier Micellar Water:

I love how clean and fresh this product makes my skin feel. I use it to take my make up off or just when I want to freshen my face up. This is the travel size bottle and it was only £1 from Asda so I tend to stock up on a few bottles when it’s on offer. I just use it with a cotton pad and wipe over my skin gently. It doesn’t irritate my skin and leaves your face feeling very soft and clean.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius:

What I love about Soap & Glory is their glorious scented products and this is no exception. It has a minty, fruity smell and leaves your feet feeling silky smooth. I have an issue with dry heels and this does wonders for them. I got this in a set at Christmas but is available from Boots for around £5. I wouldn’t advise sitting down and applying it then standing up on wood floor as you slip, as Kane found out the other night. Yep, even he uses it!

Re-Gen Oil:

I have been using this on my stretch marks on my thighs and on my scar on my lower belly and it’s lovely. Although it is oil, I doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily and with extra residue. It rubs in nicely and leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated. It has a lovely orangey scent and was one of the best buys ever, it’s helping my scar and stretch marks to fade gradually. I think it’s a cheaper alternative to Bio-Oil which I found too pricey for me. I bought this one from Asda for about £6.

Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner:

I cannot praise these enough! Everytime I use them, they leave my hair feeling soft, hydrated but not oily. My hair is prone to ridiculously oily roots and dry ends (which is suited for this set) and this just sets it right. Usually my hair only lasts a day/day and half before it’s greasy and this makes my hair last about 2-3 days which makes all the more difference for me. I try not to use the same shampoo every time I wash my hair so I alternate between 3-4 different types but this is hands down my favourite at the moment. I have noticed a lot of shops like Boots, Wilko and Superdrug sell this but most supermarkets do too. I got this from Tesco when it was on £2 a bottle but it’s always on offer somewhere!

Soap & Glory Hand Food:

I know I always rave about this hand cream but it really is the best. It smells fabulous, like macadamia nuts and angels (not exactly but that’s what it feels like)! I use this, hands down, every day and even a few times a day. My hands get so dry from always washing the pots and using cleaning products and hand soaps so this just makes them feel like silk. It’s pretty bad how much I actually use it, honestly. Again, this was from a set at Christmas from Boots but you can buy a full size tube for £6 or a travel size tube for £2.50 which is perfect for your handbag!

Essence All In one Nail Varnish:

I’ve noticed recently that my nails have started to become very ridgey and peel easily so I thought I needed to start looking after them. So I came across this beauty! Its great as a base coat, a single coat or a top coat. It helps prevent ridges, peeling and strengthens nails whilst keeping them looking shiny and presentable. I have used this just as a single coat for a few days just to try and get my nails healthy again. I’m sick of them looking yellowy (because I wear too much coloured polish) and feeling brittle. This was from Wilko for £2 which I think is pretty nifty.

Skin System 3 in 1 Face Wash:

As you might have realised, i love my Asda skincare products and this is just another one of those. I bought this after a recommendation from my mum about how good it is. I haven’t used it as a cleanser yet as it’s quite thick but it’s great for a good scrub or as a face mask. It’s very thick and leaves your skin feeling thoroughly clean and tingly but in a good way! It’s tea tree too so it helps with spots which is a huge issue for me. It was only £2.50 from Asda and I bloody love it! I only tend to use it around twice a week though as it’s quite tough and you need a good moisturiser on after use.

Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean 4 in 1 Cleansing Milk:

I’ve only just started using this from the set I had at Christmas and I love it. Smells spectacular enough to eat and leaves skin feeling as soft as a peach. It’s great for removing make up or just a good clean of your face. I would recommend using a toner and moisturiser after though as it can be slightly oily on the skin. I just use to pumps of it on a cotton wool pad and wipe away! This can be bought separately from Boots for £8.00 for a 350ml bottle which will last months on end.

So there we have it, my favourite products which do a great job of healing my skin, hair and nails in times of need!
