Skincare products I just couldn’t live without…

If you know me, you know I’ve struggled with spots for the majority of my life and although they’ve cleared up quite a bit the past year or so, I do still struggle!

So I’m here to show you the best things I have found that work their magic to clear your spots up and just make your face feel beautiful in general.

Although some of these products are designed for spot prone skin, some aren’t but they still work wonderfully.

So first off is Asda’s skin system light mattifying moisturiser:

This is my go to moisturiser and I use it everyday before applying my make up. It’s a fabulous base as it’s quite matte and smells lovely! As you can see, it’s designed for blemish prone and oily skin which is me all over and I just love it. It covers nice and evenly and is very light on your face so even if you’re not wearing make up, it still does wonders for your skin. £2 from Asda.

Next is St Ives apricot scrub for sensitive skin:

I’ve been using this since I was about 15 and I will never go back! It’s great for exfoliating and making your skin feel thoroughly clean. I try to use this about twice a week as it’s quite rough and using it too much can make your skin very dry and itchy. But when I do use it, I give my face a good clean and moisturise after. As you can see, this one is nearly empty so I need to grab some more. £2.50 from Asda.

Garnier micellar cleansing water:

I bought this on a whim a few months ago as it was a quid and I’ve been using it ever since. It’s great for removing make up, just a wipe over your face when it’s feeling unclean or just to refresh your face in a morning or night. It smells lovely and is so clean and fresh, it makes your skin feel that way too. It’s not particularly for spots but it hasn’t irritated them or made them worse in anyway which is quite rare with beauty products. £1 from Savers.

Nivea post shave balm:

I know this might seem like a right weird addition but after seeing posts on Twitter about what a great primer this is, I thought I’d try it. Luckily, Kane had a little tester pot from a set he’d not used before so I nicked this from him. But it really does work! It might feel a bit weird at first putting it on your skin but you only need a tiny amount and it smells beautiful (like a guy smell). It makes your skin feel so smooth and really holds your make up on for hours on end. You face feels very secure and make up sits on top perfectly! You can get this from anywhere but I have seen a much larger pot in Superdrug for around £3.

Witch blemish gel:

This is perfect for big ginormous spots you just want to go away. It smells delightful and really does tone down the redness and pain or the big nasties. I use this whenever I get a big spot that I just want gone. It’s great to put on before bed and just leave and rinse off in the morning. I have a witch face wash too that works hand in hand with this product. £2 from Asda.

Sudocrem antiseptic healing cream:

Yes, this is usually used for nappy rash but as you can see, it can be used for acne. I’ve been using this since I was about 12 and it’s great! I usually apply it all over my face after taking my make up off and leave it on for a good few hours. After a while, your skin starts to feel quite oily but then I just rinse it off. It takes the redness of spots right down and makes your skin unbelievably soft too. Hands down one of my favourite skincare products of all time! £3 from local chemist.

Soap and glory face soap and clarity vitamin c wash:

I bought this because I had a 50% off voucher in a set I had and I love it! It smells very fruity but makes your skin feel like a god’s! The blue gel cleans and softens and the microbeads pull out the impurities and exfoliate softly. This bottle has lasted me since January and I still have about a quarter left so it’s a great investment! I got it for £3 because it was on offer for £6 but usually it’s about £8 from Boots.

So there we have it, my favourite skincare products possibly ever!

Let me know if you have any favourites or anything that’s great for spots 🙂
