Fashion For Less!

If you know me, you know I’m a bargain queen! I’m always hunting through the sale racks and finding absolute gems among the wreckage for unbelievable prices. It does take a lot of time and a lot of energy hunting to find something I like and in my size but once I find something, I feel a sense of accomplishment. I know most bloggers/vloggers are into Urban Outfitters, Topshop and River Island but I really can’t afford their stuff, even on sale. My favourite shops have to be Primark, New Look and H&M just simply because they’re affordable and I like the stuff they sell.

So I thought I’d do a post showing you what I’ve bought in the Christmas/January sales and give you a peek into my different styles and likes.

Christmas Day I sat looking through the sales online and found a few beauties in the New Look sale. Now I must say that New Look has to be my favourite shop, not only because of their amazing sales but because they provide a wise variety of styles, colours and their shoes are to die for.

The first thing in my basket was this skirt:

Now I’ve been looking for a checked mini skirt for absolutely ages but I refused to pay £20+ for one. I had my eye on this one for a while and it finally got reduced to £10.00 which I could just about justify. I think it goes perfectly with chunky boots, tights and a wool jumper for winter.

The next thing I got was this playsuit:

I have a thing for velvet at the moment and the second I saw this, I knew I had to have it. I think it was the strappy, open back that won me over and it was £13. I usually would be a bit hesitant to pay even that for a playsuit but after seeing I had to spend so much for free delivery, it happened to fall into my basket. It’s also really sparkly which makes it perfect for parties!

Another thing I got in my New Look order was these gorgeous boots:

I think my favourite thing about them would have to be the sheer chunkiness and the woven pattern on them. They’re so comfy and go with a lot of the clothes I have already so it just makes them so much more worth the buy. I got them for £13 which I think is a decent price for some chunky boots.

After a trip to Primark at the weekend, I found a couple of bargains, not just for me but for my sister too so she was pretty happy. The first thing I found was this wonderous thing, a big black chunky cardigan!

I’ve been after a black cardigan for a while but I could never found one I liked enough to splurge one. But then I found this thing, for only a fiver! It’s the warmest, softest material too. I also really like how it has big deep pockets too which I like to keep my lip balm in when I’m out. I’m really pleased with this buy and I’m sure it’ll match all of my other black clothes too.

The other thing I bought from Primark was this underwear set:

I’m such a sucker for pretty underwear so when this caught my eye, I couldn’t say no. When I saw it was only £5, I thought that was pretty good for a set, especially this pretty. The soft grey and pink i think goes perfectly together and although no one will see them but me (and Kane) I’m really happy with them.

I also went to New Look at the weekend to look for a waterproof coat. I didn’t find one I liked but I did find this little pretty.

I love lace bralets and this one was only £4.99! That wasn’t even in the sale either, it was just the normal price for it which I think is pretty remarkable. It fits so well and is very flattering. They look great and are a comfier alternative to wired bras which can sometimes be quite restricting. Really love it!

So there were just a few things I’ve bought over the past few weeks and I couldn’t be happier! I’m on the hunt for a cheap waterproof parka now so I will report back if and when I find one suitable enough!
